Hi everyone,

I am sure you all noticed that ATIP requests are processed only days after you submit a request but they hold them for full 30 days to send you and in some cases even more. Of course the department is within their 30 days time period as law permits but this clearly shows a systematic deficiency.

What would make them change their mind and act faithfully?

Thanks,

I noticed they are being delayed too, my notes should've arrived las tweek.

How do you know they are being processed in days and delayed? What evidence do you have?

Because they are printed off the system by a clerk, then they have to reviewed by a privacy officer to remove information if necessary. So the review doesn't happen immediately once they are printed.

The mere fact that every file arrives right on the 30th day is an indication of systematic delay.

Maybe, but it is within the letter of the law.

It's also a good disincentive to people ordering their notes every week, thereby overloading the service.

The laws should determine that - not a bureaucratic.
