Who's missing characters on pr card?

A few days ago i received my pr card and i found out that it doesnt show my full name
Who else has the same issue?

My wife's card is fine. Shows her family name and then her first name under it. Note that signatures do not appear under the photo on new PR cards (effective from Feb 1, 2012).

I'd contact CIC and let them know of your concern. It probably won't be an issue. You should photocopy the COPR and keep it with the PR card in case of any troubles at the border / airport.

It happens if the alphabets are too many in your name to fit on the card's designated name area..I get missing letters on my Credit Card and its nothing to worry...When getting in and out of Canada Immigration Officer will swipe the card to check for validity and they will have your complete name in the date base....

Indeed - the PR card can not show more than 20 letters I think - check on the letter that comes with the PR card it gives you an explanation. so - nothing to worry about.

So true and the letters that come with the pr explain that
my bad that I didnt read it before, but I still dont like how my name shows on my pr.
I just hope that when the times come for citizenship I have my full name
Or else I will ask if its possible to get rid of my middle name, because I'd rather
not have it than have it incomplete

My middle name is incomplete due to the number of characters available to be used, but no matter, any contact with CBSA or other government agencies will be fine as the complete name shows up when they access your records.

Same as me, my middle name its not complete.
And I was just wondering if its going to be the same for citizenship

there way more space on a passport page than on a PR card, so I would assume that the passport will have the full name.
But I just got my PR card ( with my middle name missing some letters) and haven't applied for citizenship, so I can't be sure

Thats true, so i guess i shouldnt worry about that
I hope to have it fix when i get to apply for citizenship

By any chance if the last letter is missing in the gIven name on Visa, will that be a problem? I appreciate if you could reply.
