Who should apply for principal, if both are having eligibility

Could yo please guide me in this case,
I am having 2+ years Information Technology exp and 3+ years of non IT exp and a graduate Engineer. I work with a US MNC.
My spouse is having 2+ years exp in Information Technology and having masters degree in Electronics. She works with an Indian MNC.

Who would you experts prefer to be principal applicant, both of us meet the point criteria.
Please suggest. Any preference/consideration for woman principal applicants.

Few points that you can look into

1. Who is performing managerial duties?

2. Which applicant has a better organization structure? This will definitely help in easy verification of Job responsibilities

3. IELTS marks? Who has the better chance to secure good marks in IELTS.

Answer these three and you will be able to decide the principal applicant.

In addition to waht Domingo said,i also deem it fit that your wife's masters qualification will be an added point ie 25 instead of 22 which would have come from you.
 
Even though you both meet the points mark, do you both meet the ministerial requirements? That is, belonging to a profession on the most wanted list of 38, having a job offer or already being in Canada for the last 12 months?

If you both do, then it doesn't matter which one is primary. Pick the one with more irrefutable points or flip a coin. If only one of you does, of course that one will be primary. If neither of you do, you will have to figure out a way for one of you to get a job offer and in that case, the one who gets a job offer first gets to be primary.
 
Pl. Check who has work experience without any break , good command on english to score better in IELTS and if ur wife has no problem in this, she should be principal applicant as master's degree will get u more points.
 
As Leon mentioned check the eligibility criteria first. Do any one of you fall under the 38 MI occupation list. Please take the eligibility test at the following link
