Hello higher6, did you ever get an IA (initial assessment) letter?, if so when did you get it?...

"Waiting folks" from outside Canada....

Dont waste your time looking at ecas anymore!

Its been more than the avg processing time (11 mons - Buffalo) since I applied. So, I thought why not send a case specific enquiry yesterday. I got the reply within a day. haha...why dont they show the same spped in sending pprs & paasports!!!
Below is the reply...

Your application is in process. We are unable to provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete.
e-Cas is for applications processing within Canada only.

Immigration cases being processed in Visa offices outside Canada use a system different from that used to process similar applications in Canada. As a result, the e-Client Application Status (e-CAS) does not reflect the status of cases being processed in Buffalo.
Do not use the CIC e-Cas on-line change of address system. Your new address will not be downloaded to your file in Buffalo.

congratulations 4mfamily!

congrats din ke 4mfamily! Just continue praying...

ruby, ano kinailangan ba ang NBI sa NAIA? ang medical certificate from the doctor ng mga kids wla bang expiration. say, this week ako kukuha then May pa ang alis...

sige thanks... may work ka na?

Ate Olive, I stressed out for nothing actually. I spent 5 minutes sa Immigration sa airport. They didn't ask for an NBI clearance... PDOS kasi eh.... Hehe

Are you referring to the immunization records? It does not have an expiry, you can get it now and it's still acceptable when you arrive in Canada. If your kids won't get vaccinations anymore from now until the day you leave the Philippines then ok na yun.

I don't have work yet... But I've been sending out applications, have an interview March 2 customer service in a call center, far from my work experience in HR but I'm excited. Being in Canada, I'm grabbing the chance to try something new :) who knows, I might like it. Plus, as a new immigrant we don't have Canadian job experience yet so I'm not being picky :) I told one recruiter I can work part time or full, temporary or permanent or even as a reliever.

When are you leaving for canada?

Thanks ruby!

No clear date yet... I and my kids want it on May... but my husband wants to leave on July or August...
