Rubyalabar,
you mean you have sent e-mail to LA office and asked ? so it means that for the initial assessment, it will be done by this office instead of Buffalo... I guess.

yes, I asked them and they said under review which means it has been sitting in Buffalo for almost 3 months collecting dust and it was only after the transfer that they looked at our file. so frustrating... >:(

is anyone considering requesting for CAIPS notes?

i'm very frustrated with not knowing what is taking so long, may be if I got the CAIPS notes for our file i'll know the reason.

I'm not sure ordering CAIPS notes will help since the delay is not limited to your file. Also, note that it takes about 2 months to get your file.

oh, i know it's not gonna help speed things up, but i have OCD ;D i think and can't sit still with not knowing anything.

from CIC, it says 30 days to process the CAIPS notes request but i won't be surprised if does take 2 months.

Oh don't worry - All of us have become obsessive compulsive. This process is killing us.

i forgot a member told us in the discussing forum that CIC will clear up all the outstanding files before end of Dec for 2010 cases..
I wonder..

hi guys,

i saw other people who applied before me got PPr this week, so I sent case specific enquiry to LA to follow up giving a lame excuse that I cannot access e-cas ;D

to my surprise, the reply they sent is a PPR!

what a bittersweet moment...

we'll probably land after the holidays as my dad is still undergoing chemotherapy for leukemia :(

rubyalabar,
Congratulations on your PPR. Finally your wait is over :)

Folks in this thread, keep the following fact in mind. Just south of the Canadian border, people are waiting for years, sometimes more than a decade to get their greencard and then citizenship. So please be patient and count your blessings, that you are able to contact CIC yourself through email and phone. No such luck down south.
