I wonder for our folks here on this forum who received RQ in 2014 how fast it was processed if it was processed already. I called CIC yesterday and confirmed that they have received my RQ package and everything is fine with it but CIC lady didnt really give me any timeline whenever they are going to reply on RQ or send us a citizenship test notification, she'd only mentioned '35 months' thing in there....
So kindly comment if you have got a RQ this year. Many thanks in advance for your input.

Shakeel7,

It seems the processing times have decreased significantly from the beginning of this year (at least for a few offices). So, Highfive shouldn't have to wait very long IMHO.

karavan, shakeel7, thanks guys for your input.

Actually I need to rephrase my question, I should be asking those who applied this year and got a RQ before citizenship test - how fast their applications were processed. Thanks again!

Hi

I applied Dec 2013. Got RQ May 2014 & sent docs on June. Got test on August but my RQ was not reviewed and been sent to St Clair for their review. Now waiting for oath.

This seems to be a new trend. The reasons are apparently;

1- To put resources to review the only RQs recipients who could pass the test.
2- To give a better outlook for RQ recipients.

Just my two cents…

Highfive,

The first reply I gave you above is the timeline of an applicant from February 2014 thread. So, that answers your question, no?

My timeline in Signature at Scarborough Office. MPs office has advised that waiting period of RQ review at Sacrborough is 12 to 18 months.

I really hope so :). 3 years to wait for a citizenship is way too long.

so now they even invite you for a test before reviewing your RQ..... really interesting...........

I sent my RQ to Scarborough office too. 12 to 18 months are OK with us, but really hope for less than a year. :)

I am thinking once the 4/6 years comes into effect. The workload at CIC will decrease considerably for a year. During that year CIC will be able to bring down all the back-log.

I am sure we will have something by end of next year. I know it feels sad when everyone is becoming citizen and you are stuck with RQ for year or so!.
