Who has experience about this issue

2014 March my husband and i applied outlanding spousal sponsorship, we got denied, we got UCI number. Early august we reorganized everything and re-applied, sadly before we sent out application, we didnt check the forms version, turns out our IMM008 and IMM1344 are outdated, we sent 2013-11 version. After viewing several posts here we found many people got their application returned due to outdated forms, so we decided to be proactive, rather than waiting doing nothing, we sent out new forms and wrote an explanation letter provided sponsor UCI for sure.
Now apart from waiting, we are curious is there anyone out there have same experience? Would CIC add new forms to our applications?

If they have the proper UCI and identifying information, then yes, they would add any information you send to them to the current file. If you proactively updated the forms you KNEW to be outdated, then likely you won't have a problem and they have already added the newer updated forms to your application.

You were denied? Or the application was just sent back to you. Usually they won't deny without an interview. Did you have an interview? Are you sure you were fully denied? Or was he just denied as sponsor?

it sounds like the sponsor was denied. they won't hold an interview to make a decision on the sponsor.

Hmmm, well people are typically not denied sponsor, so there must have been something critical missing. Hopefully resenting the application and new forms is sufficient, but there could have been a bigger issue at hand. Without more detailed information it is hard to say if it was something big, or the vo was feeling crabby and just retuned he package instead of allowing time to resubmit or clarify things.

generally if the sponsor is denied it involves either a welfare issue or criminality issue. it's common for sponsors to clear up the welfare issue and getting approved, i think. sometimes, when CIC does their checks, a province may still have the sponsor listed on their welfare list even if they are not currently receiving benefits. it's the sponsor's responsibility to ensure their name is off the list and get confirmation in writing from the provincial agency. OR it can just be a case of the OP using the wrong language, and the package was returned because of a missing form, though considering they applied in March, i suspect this is not the case. or it was rejected because they neglected to fix the issue in the specific amount of time given by cic. without the OP being more specific, it's impossible to know.

Ok. Yes, true, so if this is true, hopefully they have cleared it up and didn't resubmit the application in haste. Although considering the outdated forms, it seems it may have been done as quickly as possible... Hopefully the new app is accepted.

Then their is the chance that they will open the application first and send out a letter for the updated information then look for the package after the due date . You never know with CIC. Good luck. Just my experience with Cic

Thanks guys for ur kindly reply, our first application got denied because sponsor received social welfare and didnt get the name off the list. This time we provide letter from the social welfare government stating sponsor has been off the list, option C of the past 3 years also bank transaction record plus sponsor's employment letter, working contract and pay stubs. We thought we were fully prepared, then I noticed form version issue, we sent out new forms yesterday. I saw posts from other kinds of immigration, some applicants with UCI sent out updated info upfront of CIC requests. Anyway we will see how this goes. Hopefully it will work out. i TRULY feel sorry for those who got their whole application sent back just because outdated forms.

I am in the same boat right now. I've just realized we have sent in an outdated IMM008 and IMM1344. We also have a UCI because my husband was already a TWP in Canada. According to UPS, our application was just delivered today. So we will send in the updated forms, with a cover letter, tomorrow morning. And keep our fingers crossed! I will update here on whether this worked for us. I'm just glad we caught this issue before our application got returned!
