Guys, I inputed VISA office as "Canada" in the table first time and sent the doc to CIC at Oct 2009, and the package was returned with only one highlight about wrong processing fee(I input 650$ instead of 550$) at Nov 2009, no highlight with wrong VISA Office. So i only updated the processing fee and sent to CIC again.

But, i found that somebody mentioned their package was returned due to VISA office selected CANADA instead of Buffalo this forum. So I'm worry about my package will be returned due to wrong VISA office. >:(

I'm working in Canada from July 2009, it less than 12 months, so if i should select Buffalo as my VISA office or my country Singapore?
Thanks for your reply!

Unfortunatly yes, your package will be sent back. Canada is not a visa office, you should have selected either Buffalo or Singapore.

Hi Miyo, I'm sorry to say but your application will be returned because that mistake. You can still apply as Buffalo as your office per OP6 but only if you are applying under FSW2 with permanent job offer.

This is a new section which outlines instructions presented in RIM message 04-016.
Section 10.13—Arranged employment
• arranged employment must be in National Occupational Classification (NOC) Skill Type 0 or
Skill Level A or B [R82(2)];
in the case of applicants holding a work permit for a job for which they have a permanent
offer, the work permit must be valid on the date of application and at the time the visa is
issued. This replaces the requirement that the work permit be valid for 12 months from date of
application [R82(2)(a)(iii)];

If you can renew your work permit after then go for Buffalo (but I know there are pretty slow).

Miyo,

If you know about your mistake, I would suggest send an updated copy of your application and a cover letter. Hope it will get added to your file before vo looks at it. Just my 2 cents.

So sk.aggarwal, you think i would resend the update doc right now rather than waiting for CIC return my package? Actually I'm not sure if they will combine my 2 package or not. :(

Miyo,

I sent my package to CIC with buffalo as visa office. After few weeks I realized it is very slow compared to ND so send an fax requesting for change with a valid reason. CIC transferred my file to ND.
