Hi All,

I have been in Canada for 4 years and have been a PR for more than 2 years now. I want to bring my Mom here, but not sure what kind of visa shall I apply for her, considering her health condition. She has been a cardiac patient and had her third open heart surgery in 2013. Although she is fine now, but I am not sure if she has ot go through a medical test and if she doesn't do well there, will she be given a visa at all?
Could you please suggest/recommend which visa shall I apply for her long term multiple entry, and also if I want to bring her here for 1-2 months then can I can apply for a visitors visa as I have heard that doesn't require a medical test.

I am an IT professional and earn CAD 90k+, so hoping that should suffice my condition of sponsoring her.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Choco.

If you don't think she will pass a Medical, and she will spend at most 1-2 months here, a regular non-immigrant visitor's visa is your best bet. There is an option for a multiple entry visa. Good luck.

She will need to be able to prove she can support herself during the trip as well. Make sure she has health insurance, as she won't have any coverage while she's here as a visitor. CBSA can check for those things when people arrive and can send her back if she doesn't have any. Same with a return ticket.

True.
When I sent invitation letters for my mom, I included previous years NOA and stated that I would be responsible for her expenses (notarized), and she presented travel insurance when applying at her LVO.

Pretty sure you will need to meet LICO for the three years prior before you can apply for a super visa. Ring a PR for 2+ years probably isn't enough to do that.

I recommend health insurance in her case. If she is stable from last six month she would. E eligible.
You should give a call to health insurance agents prior to apply for suprvisa

The 3 year LICO requirement is only for PGP sponsorship. Supervisa only requires that the Canadian citizen/PR child prove that they currently meet LICO.

They try to only issue Multiple Entry Visas if they can.
