Which Pakistani Mobile Phone Brand will work in Canada ?

Can anybody guide me which Pakistan mobile will work with Canadian mobile companies or at Canadian mobile frequency. ? Either its better to purchase mobile and laptop from Pakistan or from Canada ? which way is cheap ?

the normal gsm phones would work. Its better to buy laptop or mobile from canada because they have a lot of deals in marts/stores. I am not exactly sure about canada but in western countries like UK they have a different method of selling mobile i.e. mobile with service. They will charge you little money and give you the sim with service and you need to pay monthly for the bundle so you save money in this case.


If you want to buy a new laptop then buy from canada, if you want to buy a used laptop then get from pakistan. But if you have a paypal and ebay account you can land in canada and buy from ebay.com (used laptops) and that would be cheaper.

I brought a Samsung S3 European model from pak and its working with Public Mobile here. better to bring a north American model rather than eurpean. and do bring something which works on quad bands. the frequencies here are 1900-2100

it will but not on all networks so check the Canadian wireless operator websites for their frequencies and check the bands for the phones you can buy. I have a Samsung S3 bought from Lahore which I am using with public mobile here. but I could not use the same phone with wind since their services are only compatible with limited number of handsets listed on their website and they sell those at their stores. some operators such as rogers etc are too expensive. I have 40 $ plan with public mobile which gives me 2GB data per month, unlimited global texting, unlimited Canada wide outgoing/incoming calls, free voice mail.

public mobile is acquired by Telus so don't know if they are still offering this or lower plans
