Hi. I want to apply for Express Entry (Federal Skilled Worker). I want to claim points for my spouse's education.

My spouse is not principal applicant and his occupation is physician. His degree is Bachelor of Medicine in Vietnam.
So does his degree have to be assessed under Medical Council of Canada (MCC) or can it be assessed by WES?

He doesn't plan to practice medicine in Canada after moving there. Also my occupation is not physician (mine is NOC 2161 - mathematician, actuary), so I am sure my degree can be assessed under WES.
I am quite clueless about Medical Council of Canada (MCC) 's assessment and MCC's assessment seems really complicated. I don't want to get his degree assess by MCC if it is not necessary. :'(

Can anyone help to advise me on this please? I tried to called CIC to ask but they didn't provide the answer for specific case like this. :-\
