which NOC for IT jobs is in demand?

Hi all,

I had submitted my application using NOC 2172 Data analysts and Database administrator category, my profile is still active (till April 2017). My CRS score is 349 only. I would really appreciate if anyone can guide me for below mentioned doubts:

1. What is the trend for 2172 NOC in last few years? I found that 2172 Database administrator was not listed in any of the PNP this year in 2016.

2. Which NOC has better chance or is usually in demand(for IT jobs) to appear in Provincial nominee program?

3. Should I apply under different NOC(related to IT jobs) during next year? only NOC for informantion systems analyst was common in all PNP programs this year, so thinking of using this NOC.

the demand for IT professionals has been low for years. I got PR in 2011 and is wasn't on many lists then.

If possible I would re-apply with different IT NOC i.e. information systems analyst, since my job includes those responsibilities as well and this noc was there in all the pnp programs this year. Hoping for the best, way to go !!

Hey JGK and all other members, one more doubt. Apart from Database administration duties I have also worked on application support and troubleshooting, gathering new business requirements and reporting gaps in existing system desing and requirements, liaison between dev and DA teams. so thats basically system analyst NOC stuff.

Can I include both NOCs in job duties, is it possible, what are the options?
