Both are authentic and recognized. Just choose the one which is cheaper and convinient for you.
Some people my say you get 0.5 band more in idp or bc. Written and speaking are subjective. Different examiners might give +-0.5 based on their evaluation. It doesn't depend on whether you take test from idp or bc. You just have to do your best and get lucky

It is best to think as both IDP and British Council as one big company as they are all part of one company.
Some examiners may give a slightly better (or worse) grade but there is no evidence of IDP or BC giving better grades to students. All examiners for both IDP and BC take the same training course and have the same qualifications.
