Which Elementary School in Quebec?

I'm a Permanent Resident, and my kid just finished Junior Kinder (JK, 4-years old) in Ontario. We speak English at home.

We're now moving to Quebec. We don't speak French (yet!)

Which Elementary School should my kid go to (5-years old)? A French-speaking school, or an English-speaking school in Quebec?

To the best of my knowledge:
If your kid was born between Oct.01, 2011 and Sept. 30, 2012 then he/she is eligible for école maternelle (French) or its equivalent in English School Board.
Apparently, your kid may go to the English school in Quebec. As an immigrant with no choice, I don't know all regulations related to the language but you might read them here, on the School Board website: http://www.nfsb.qc.ca/eligibility/
