Should I notarize all the copies asked by CIO/VO?
I am not sending any translated document to CIO and all of my documents are in English. As per requirements I, like all others, am going to submit photocopies of many documents such as passports, marriage certificate, birth certificates etc.
I have not found any instruction for notarizing all the copies requied by CIO/VO. One of my Canadian friends told me to notarize all the copies and I tried to do so from the notary public in USA. I got notarized few of my documents but the notary public denied to notarize the copy of my birth certificate as it is not required in USA. They told me if I could show them the instruction where it is written to notarize the document, they could try to notarize it.
If notarization birth certificate is not required in USA, should I try to notarize it from my country of origin?
Please let me know what comes in your mind. Thanks.
