Hey Guys,
As requirements seem to be constantly changing [in terms of what CIC wants for evidence] apparrantly they now require the Contract/Service Agreement [NOT the Reciept] of the Antecedentes Penales [Police Certificate].
I helped my Wife gather all the relevant documents as i was recently living with her in Cuba, but left without this document...as we were unaware that it was required. I checked the Document Checklist Form: IMM5491E [the masterlist checklist for Sponsor AND Spouse] and this Form has not been updated to include this new requirement: its still dated JAN- 2013. Nor is it in the Family Class Sponsorship [Carribbean] Guide: 3909E
I've heard of nightmare stories regarding sending Documents to/from Cuba...mainly with DHL. I've read that sometimes Documents take weeks....to arrive. I'd like to hear from anyone whose had experience [Good or Bad] with sending Documents to/from Cuba.
We'd like to submit our Application, ASAP. I read on other sites from applicants, that CIC contacted then in Cuba, and requested that they submit this Contract/Service Agreement, to the Embassy in Havana.
Given the possibility of the scenario of waiting forever for just One Document occuring, is it better to just submit our Application, and wait to be contacted by CIC [given that these applicants did not say IF their application was delayed as a result], or is it better to "err on the side of caution" and wait for this document to arrive?
Any thoughts on this...as well as which Courier service is fast and efficient [DHL??]...would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
