My fiance and I just got a marriage license, he is from the States, and I am from Canada. We are getting married in August, and living together in a house in Canada after the wedding. We have not sent in his immigration paperwork yet as it is spousal sponsorship, and he is still living at his house in the states and coming up for visits here until the wedding
We are concerned as the lady in the registry office said that she would just put my canadian address (the house he stays in ucanada when he visits as well) as his address on the license. So our addresses are the same. She said that was the easiest as that's where he stays in canada. Should we go back and ask her to put his US address on there instead? Will this affect his immigration when we do send the papers in?
