Where to Send my completed Application?

Hi,

I am a canadian citizen who is trying to sponsor my wife over to Canada for PR. She is currently residing in the United states (Honolulu, Hawaii). We were wondering which office would be processing our application after we send it off to Mississauga, Ontario? Would it be the LA office or the Ottawa Office? I would definitely prefer the Ottawa office because the LA office waiting times are roughly 28 month long on average while the Ottawa office is 15 month.

One of the forms asks you which Visa office you want to process your application (Mississauga does the Sponsor approval part). Ultimately where your file goes is decided by CIC.

Ottawa is in charge of applications from the States, so the applications get sent there. However, when there are questions about the genuineness of the relationship they send it to L.A. for the interview, which will take a while. But it's not common for Americans to get interviews.

Ottawa is usually shorter than 15 months.
