Hello! Does anyone know if I can land in Alberta as a PR if my husband applied for my sponsorship from Ontario? He works in Alberta. And I'm pregnant that is why looking for options to receive my medical care before giving a birth.
Thanks

You can land anywhere in Canada(at any airport or by driving across the border) as long as you make sure the office you deal with sends your PR card to the correct address, so you must have an address in Canada to get it.

I don't know about the healthcare thing, sorry. I do know that depending on the province you intend to live in it can take up to 3 months to be covered though.

Good luck! =)

I landed in Ontario even though I'm residing in Alberta now. If I'm recalling correctly, I was able to get healthcare right away (but if you receive free healthcare and then end up living in Alberta for less than 6 months, they can charge you for it. If you're planning to stay in Alberta for a while you should be fine)
