Where can i get the File # for Online Application Status

Hye.Does any body knows from where can i get the Immigration File # for Online Application status as my Immigration Consultant is not providing me the File # due to their company policy.Islamabad received my final documents on 15 Jan 2010 & right now my file transfered to London according to new law of April 2010 as per cic website.Pl.help.Tks.Fareed

As far I know that file number should be in your 1st AOR . So if your consultant didn't give you the file number then how will you get that? I don't any other way of getting file number. :-[

It's your right to have that file number, why would your consultant not give it to you? File numbers may be confidential but you are the principal applicant, you should have access to it.

How did you pay for the fees? If you used IMM5401 and you have a copy, you can use that to log on to e-cas too. Or maybe you know your Client ID number, you can use that too.

If giving you the file number is against their policy, try and ask for your Client ID number maybe that one can be released to you.

Just my opinion or maybe i just have a suspicious mind, why would they keep the file number from you, company policy may be true but that excuse is such a cliche. what's the reasoning behind the policy? Are they reputable immigration consultants in your country?

I am not trying to make you worry or anything like that, forgive me if I did but I just had to point out that the situation is out of the ordinary.

My consultant name is Lalani & Associates & he is # 1 canadian immigration consultant in Pakistan.the reason of not giving file # is most of his clients on their own correspond / communicate with the visa post & after medical / interview many clients dont pay the remaining fees of the consultant so they want to play safe.Any way my actual visa post is Islamabad but due to change of law,all Pakistani skilled workers applications transfered to London on April 1,2010.My full documents with arranged employement & IELTS submitted /received by islamabad visa post on 15 Jan 2010 so thats the main reason i want to check my online application status.Bye

Hi,

If your consultant is not willing to give you the file number then ask them to give you a print out of your e-case status in this way you would know what your status is and consultant wont have to give you the file number, but you should actually know the file number.
