hello everyone,

i applied under sinp skilled worker catogory.i got passport request two weeks ago and will be submitting passports to embassy tomorrow.does anyone know if one can get immigrant visa stamped same day

wow Patience you are very lucky... Because I have been sponsored by my husband since June 09 and to date I have not received any request for passport, and usually sponsorship usually is the fastest. ;).

Don't worry it normally takes a few to get back your passport with stamp. You can call and asked about the same day stamping, usually some cic centers allow, but not sure if POS.

Congrats so far.. ;D

hey everyone,

I am also dealing with the POS office. My timeline is as follows:

POS started processing on Aug 12, 2009
AOR received: Nove 16, 2009 informing that everything is in order on application (i.e, no other document request)

Emailed POS and on April 12, 2010 they said that application is queue for interview and they will let me know about interview date well in advance.

So far, it's going to be 9 months since my application is in process.

Please share any other updates from this office if you can. I find it very daunting not being able to get in contact with the office and having to wait over a month to get responses via email inquiries.
