when to use sop and study plan, while applying to university or for visa

I am starting to apply for masters in canada. I have following confusions.
1. Diff between SOP and Study plan
2. Should i use SOP only when applying to University or for both visa and university application
3. Can i make same SOP for all the universities in canada
4. I have already made my SOP which include point such about me, projects, family back ground, why to study in canada and my performance in university
5. should i include separate point in sop for why i selected that particular university and that course(as i am applying 4 universities) or any other point.
6. About study plan. what point should i write in study plan
7. when to use study plan , for applying university or for visa process only.
8. Is letter of intent and SOP are same?
9. If can someone can provide me with good information such as webpages, samples about SOP and Study plan it will be great help.

no difference mostly....study plan is required for visa in some countries....SOP is required by universities.

its a good idea to add SOP its a way for u to communicate with VO

Dude just attach your SOP along with your application. It's a nice way to communicate and even clarify some doubts you think the VO might have.
