Hello Friends,

I lived in Canada for last 6 years.Last year I travel to India and since then I am stuck here because my TRV got expired.I have applied for renewal however it is not approved yet.
I recently got married. I have applied for PR since 2019 under express entry. However It is still pending! I want to know what is the time period to inform CIC about my marital Status.Should I wait for my COPR and inform them before landing to Canada or should I inform them now.

If anyone can provide their insight that will be really Helpful.

You should inform them now and add your spouse to your application.

You can find more information about adding spouse in the Express Entry section of the forum.
Your question has nothing to do with "Permanent Residency Obligations " because you are not a PR yet.

Hello,If I informed them now will it now delayed my application further because my application is pending for more Than 2.5 years almost.
Kindly advise

If you fail to inform IRCC, you will be committing misrepresentation (lying in your application) and will never be able to sponsor your spouse for PR.

It is mandatory that you notify IRCC that you have gotten married.

The sooner the better because you CANNOT land with the COPR even if they give you the landing paper now.
I am sure NOW is also before landing.

You need time to get your spouse to go through all the required health, police and background checks.

I agree but won't this will push my application further for 1 to 2 years for approval ?

Regardless, if you land now as a single person when you aren’t , you can NEVER, repeat NEVER sponsor your spouse . How long it’ll take is now irrelevant. If you want to land as single , your spouse won’t be coming along, they’ll have to immigrate on their own.
You MUST inform the IRCC NOW to advise them of your change on marital status

We do not know how long this will add to your current application but you HAVE to add her in it.
You are in Indian and cannot travel anyway.

I agree that I should Inform them, does any one know what are the current documents that will be required from me and my spouse if I add her on my application

You will need to update all the application forms that show your current marital status and show your dependent(s). IMM0008 ...etc
