When to start communicating with professor for Fall 2014-MSc program

Dear Seniors,

I am planning to get myself admitted on fall 2014 MSc program in a university.
Before getting admission I need to find a supervisor who will accept me to work as a graduate student in his/her research group.
Could u please tell me from when should I start communicating with supervisor/professor about vacancy of graduate research position for fall 2014 program.

well before the program application deadline................ like if your program application deadline is in december then after getting all your documents ready consult your potential supervisors
