When to fly?

Hello all..

I got Visa authorization to enter Canada for January 2014 .
Can anyone please help me out when to fly after getting visa and my college orientation would start on 6 January 2014.
Please help me out with this query

If u wish to live in rent house reach at least 4 weeks prior to your classes,, if u wish to live in college hostel 2 weeks are enough ,, although there is no restriction on ur arrival if u have valid visa u can fly whenever u want,,,

I would recommend you to fly about 10 to 15 days earlier from college start dates in order to search for accommodation and to get acquainted with the area. I guess there won't be a problem even if you land 1 month before college start dates as long as you have the funds to pay your expenses.
