When should I renewal my work permit?

I have conventional refugee status and the PR application is in progress; the expected date of completion is in March 2021. However, my work permit will expire mid-February 2021 and I am wondering if I should apply for the renewal and when I should start the application. I saw online that it would take 90 days to process and $115, which means I should start applying at least the end of October 2020. Can anyone share his experience/expertise? Thank you!

You don't have to apply so far ahead of time. If you haven't received PR by the beginning of February, apply then.
