When New 38 occupations List be made public,I want to apply on NOC 2133 Have i wait for new list or apply now.
Please advise.

You don't have to wait for the list but nothing much will really happen to your application because they are already waiting for the list. If your occupation is not on the list, nothing much will happen to it anyway.

I'm waiting for my file number. Could you please tell me what effect these new regulations will have on my application?

According to their news releases which have been posted here on various threads, they might not even process applications if your occupation is not on the list of 38. They might instead return it to you with your fees and tell you to apply another way. When the list shows up, we will have more information about that.

The election is Oct 14 and they need to count the votes, form government etc.

I had Dinner with a Director of HRDC and He told me the goverment is moving in the direction of phasing out the FSW in favor of the different PNP and this is because provinces are moving for greater control over their own Immigration.This is expected to take place after the Harper Conservatives win reelection on Oct 14.If I were you,start going towards the different PNP programs

@Leon
Dear if I apply before new 38 occupations List publish date will i treat as per new NOC list or will treat as per exsiting one,I want to apply what would you recomend its better to wait till november when NOC list will publish or apply now or wait till at least Election result which will be on 14th OCT.

There is no longer any "existing"No applications are being processed until the list comes out

They have already announced that all applications since February 27 2008 are under the new system. All of these applications will wait for the list. If you want to apply, you can do it but when the list comes out, if your profession is not there, your application will not be processed, instead it will probably be returned to you with refund of your fees sometime within a year after you applied. Instead of taking that chance, I would wait for the list to see if your profession is there or not.

Your other option is go to job search websites or employment agency and try to get a job offer and immigrate through a provincial nominee program.

how long would it take the government to show the list of occupations to qualify for the federal skilled worker?cause i'm planning to apply in this category...

What likely Professions are going to be included? Any guesses.
I am Teacher and want to know the prospects for me after announcement.

Harri check this link it may give you an idea:

Nothing is set on stone yet, after the elections

Cheers!

I applied under NOC Code : 2173 (Software Engineer). Does it have any prospect? If not, Alberta H1 seems to be only other option
