When is the latest I should be arriving to Canada as a first time international student?

I’m planning to land 3 days before the start of my classes. Will I be able to settle in before that?
I would also be grateful if someone could suggest a list of things I should get sorted before the start of my classes (open a bank account, get a SIM, etc).
