I got my confirmation of PR by letter with visa stamp September 20,2012
But came in Canada October 15,2012
When I got PR card it's written I got PR on October 15,2012
So I'm confused when I became PR?
I have to apply for citizenship so which date I write

It appears you received a PR visa in September 2012. That was just a visa, a one-time use visa.

It appears you used that PR visa when you came to Canada in October 2012. Upon arrival at the PoE you should have been processed for landing, that is for actually becoming a Permanent Resident in Canada. The visa would be cancelled at that point and the CoPR completed, and indeed you should have signed the CoPR then, the PoE immigration officer keeping all copies except your copy. That apparently was October 15, 2012, and that is the date you became a Canadian PR.

Hi all, I have similar issue..I entered canada for the very first time Jan 21 ..I just found now that the stamp on my passport shows Jan, 15..Though PR shows 21. I am not sure is this an error from the officer or thats normal.Thanks
