When does a visitor visa application start processing?

Is it when you submit the form online or when you submit the biometrics?

If you apply online or in-person, it starts when you submit your application.". However, I am worried that is outdated and it actually starts when they receive your biometrics.

Yes it actually starts when they receive your biometrics. An indicator is, when you notice the Biometrics reflects on your application.

The information is not outdated. The processing time start has nothing to do with biometrics.

• The time it takes you to give your biometrics isn’t included in the application processing time.
• The sooner you provide your biometrics, the sooner we can start processing your application.

On your account on the Biometrics Info, it will be updated once it is submitted.

It means that if you delay after biometrics are requested, the app is delayed.

I can update this thread with the info that it definitely only starts processing after you submit your biometrics
