When do they stamp the duration of the stay?

When and where do they stamp the duration of the stay ?

At the time of visa stamping at the vfs
OR
at the immigration counter in canada(once u reach Canada)?

I had asked for a one month visit starting 31 may to 30 June but I still haven't received my passport.my visa has been approved.

Please guide.
