I am an international student studying Masters in Electrical Engineering at University of Saskatchewan. My parents are alone in my home country.
1. Can I bring them to Canada while I study in the university? or I should wait until I finish my study and start working? Or, I can only bring them only when I get PR?

then they can stay with me forever.
No - they certainly can't. They can only visit temporarily. In order to sponsor your parents for PR, you must first become a PR yourself. You must also wait until you have made enough income for three years straight in Canada to meet the low income cut off for sponsoring your parents. Once you apply, assume it will take 4+ years for their application to be processed. So if you aren't even a PR yet and are still in school, it's going to be 10+ years before your parents are going to be able to live here permanently.

Thank you for this lucid response. But, I am quite disappointed by knowing that it will take 4+years to be processed.
1. Anyway, when they will visit me temporarily they can stay with me for certain period. Any idea for what duration will they be provided visa? I mean for what duration can they stay with me generally?
2. Can they apply time and again for this kind of visa?

1. They can stay maximum 6 months with u at a time. They can apply for extension 30 days before 6 months are over. They might get a visitor visa for 1 year or 10 year multiple entry.
2. If 10 year multiple entry then they can come often to visit u.
Also when they come visit u, u have to get private health insurance ,since government won't cover medical or doctor's fees.
Best idea is if ur dad or mom is working then they can try to apply in Express Entry for PR.

Thank you for this info. May I know is there anything I could do for them to have 10 year multiple entry visa? Or I depends on visa officer's mood?

To have the highest change of being issued a 10 year multiple entry visa, they should show they have strong ties to their home country (e.g. jobs, property, assets), have sufficient funds to pay for their visits to Canada and have no plans on remaining in Canada long-term (i.e. are genuine tourists).

You need to post your question to the foreign workers section of the forum.
