When applying TRV wrong form IMM5708 submitted!!Please help

Hi,

I applied TRV 3 weeks ago and both my wife and me hold a valid work permit.
My required application form is IMM5257, but my wife's is IMM5708. I did not notice something was wrong and submitted the required forms. And I choose the " EXTEND VISITOR STATUS" in the form IMM5708 for my wife. After processing delay, I searched the Internet and found the difference between those two forms.

How should I do now? Do I need to withdraw the applications and re apply again? Or using WEB form to update the right application form?

Anyone has same experiences?

Please help!!

This sounds quite serious. Maybe you will have to do everything again (fees included).

Thanks, I sent web form yesterday with updated application form to see if I need to withdraw and reapply.

I have one question, for this situation, because we submitted together(but different application numbers), both of applications will be returned or rejected? Or mine could be approved, and my wife's will be returned?
I hope mine can get approved because I have a quick travel soon:(

Normal processing is that if one is withdrawn then they are all withdrawn. That is the whole point of submitting all applications in one submission.

Hopefully they will only alter one.

You can only wait and see what they decide.

I applied for TRV extension and used IMM5708By mistake. I am in the same situation but They actually approved mine today although I have a valid work permit till 2024! They told me they have extended my stay (visitor record) from 09/27/2021 to 09/30/2022. Which doesn’t make sense as I am already a worker!
