Hi Friends,

I started my job in Canada on 30th September 2016 and I am waiting to create my profile in CEC category, as I don't have sufficient points to drop my profile in FSW category. The problem here is my PGWP is about to expire on 24th of September 2017 and I am unable to extend it. Some of my friends are suggesting to create a profile on 1st of September and wait for a draw (in 11 months), Can someone please advice me when is the best time to create profile under CEC class? As I am aware that CIC is giving 1 year Canadian exp points in 11 months itself, so my guess is I should be eligible in August. Please share your opinion on my case.Once I complete my 1 year of Canadian EXP, my points will raise to 472 based on my present IELTS score. Pls help!

It doesn't sound like you're going to qualify for CEC at all. You need a full year of work experience (52 weeks). Your PGWP is going to end a week early to get the year of work experience you need to qualify under CEC. Just because you're awarded a year of work experience of 11 months doesn't mean you actually qualify under CEC. When you submit your PR application, you have to have 52 weeks of work experience in Canada - and it sounds like you're going to be a week short.
