Hello Gents,

My ECAS has recently changed to "medicals received" status, can anyone please explain to me what are the stages left until receiving a PR and if you know what is the estimate timeline for each stage

Cheers,

Hi Maverick,

Congrats on experiencing that awesome satisfaction from your ECAS account. No i'm not kidding. It really is something to see that your medical results have finally reached CIC, and CIC has been kind enough to acknowledge it instead of continuing to say --- Your application was received on XX-XXX-2012...

Well, since you are already done with the medical stage, if you haven't already paid/got RPRF - you'd be getting that first. RPRF is the $490 fee to become PR in Canada. How soon? - honestly that i can't predict. Could be 2 weeks or 6 weeks! I have said this earlier in the forum, our "lady CIC", acts in mysterious ways. Sometimes she is going to be the chatty girl friend and sometimes just plain b**** (no disrespect intended for the awesome ladies on this forum..really!). And if you are lucky (if!), you might also get the PPR (passport request) along with RPRF. You will get PPR if you are NOT from Visa exempt country. If you are - you may be requested to send your passport copy and you will get your COPR (confirmation of PR) in the mail. Then you just have to go the border to complete the landing procedure.

The general wait time between Medical Request and the landing is roughly somewhere between 3 months. I'm sure others will chime in to give some precise time line. July and earlier applicants are generally waiting more between these 2 stages than August and later applicants. But again - its not a general rule, just how i've observed things moving on this forum lately...i could be wrong.

But i wish you and the rest of folks here to get COPR asap :)

Cheers
