there are many factors -- i dont think there is one answer and im sure many people can chime in.. things such as travel to certain countries, prior or current government or military positions, police record systems and responses, depends if there were crimes or anything committed.. it really depends...

No need to wonder, you will never know. Even age could make difference, checking a 80 years old person will in general take more time than a 8 year old person, right? Just relax and wait, or if you cannot, wonder and wait.

Yes. Extensive travels will delay your bgc. Also nationality, country of residence all of these things effect the bgc. If your bgc is taking longer than 2 or 3 months, you have probably been selected for ss( security screening) which is a in depth background check and can take up to 6 months or longer
