What things are done in medical exam?

Physical, X-ray, blood tests, urine test, general medical history

Basically the only things that can get an application denied or delayed, is if any signs of tuberculosis, syphilis or HIV comes up. Or if the applicant gives the doctor a reason to believe they would be a danger to Canadians (like being psychotic due to mental illness or drug abuse).

So don't worry... in practically all cases the medical is just a formality and nothing to worry about!

Make sure to call ahead and see how many immigration photographs they require.

No. You will fill out papers and talk to the panel doc yourself.

I guess so! It was a female doc and so it made my husband crazy uncomfortable haha. He came back out into the waiting room and wouldn't make eye contact for a good 20 minutes until we were in the car hahaha
