My wife is NOW a Canadian resident, same as my daughter (American citizen). They got their PR on 8/10/12 and a few weeks ago I received a letter asking for copies of every page of my passport along with proof of ongoing relationship which i sent off and was received at the Seattle office on Friday, 12/21/12.

I have done my medical earlier this year which they received so Im just curious to what to expect after they review the proof I submitted.

Do i have go through an interview? if so, with or without my wife?

How long should I expect to wait to hear back from immigration?

Thanks in advance.

Wait so the process is done, they landed, NOW they are asking for more things??

I'm sorry, i guess I wasnt clear so let me go into detail. My wife moved to Canada with my daughter around 3 years ago (long story). She was approved as refugee and then when she became eligible to apply for PR she did for herself and our daughter also adding me (US citizen) even though i still reside in the US.

My application was received by CIC back in July 2011, I did my medical earlier this year in March.

Finally on 8/10/12 my wife and daughter was given their PR status. She was informed at the time they got their PR status that my process will soon be finished because CIC was waiting on her to get ner PR status before going further with my process.

I recently received a letter asking for proof of relationship with my wife since she is the one filing for me.

I sent of the info requested so i'm just curious whats the next step after they review the info submitted and whats the normal time fram for anything to be approved when when i already this far in the process.

Sorry, im very new to all this. ???

Additional proof are usually asked by the Visa Officer to verify if the relationship is genuine. Once that is provided and officer is satisfied you should get passport request (If no other issue).

Since your from the US it shouldn't be that long now. (Looking at max 3-4 months)

Good luck.

Thank you very much for your reply.

since they have already asked for your passport they are probably almost ready to issue your visa, so probably within a month time you should hear back from them, and with a PR in hand you can move to Canada and be with your family!
That's good news - Merry Christmas to you and your family,
