Hi.
I'm using the Physical Presence Calculator and I have a confusion.
For a period of 6 months, I left Canada and went to my home country Pakistan. During that time I didn't have an address in Canada. I worked in Pakistan for 6 months, and then decided to come back to Canada.

What should I say the reason was for my physical absence?

Reason should be exactly what you described above. If you spent 183 days or more in your home country, then you will need to provide a PCC as well.

Thanks. But should I treat this as a 'visit to Pakistan' or 'residing in Pakistan'? I am specifically referring to question # 9c in the form CIT 0002E, which says "During your eligibility period, did you live outside of Canada?" If I say yes, then it says "If you checked yes, please complete and submit the residence outside canada form CIT 0177'. My issue is that CIT 0177 is only meant for crown servant applicants or crown servant family members, which doesn't apply to me.

That question is really badly written. In order to be entirely truthful I marked it as "Yes" and then wrote a note next to it saying to refer to Q 10a showing residence and that the form was not applicable, not a crown servant deployed abroad. Could write a whole sheet explaining but I'm going to assume they'll have a lot of people with this problem and not need a full explanation.

If you click "Help" for that question, it's clear the question should've been "Do you want to count time spent as a federal public servant deployed abroad?" or something to that effect.

I went two times to my home country for vacations and one time for getting married. What should I write? Should I write meeting relatives/family or just write visit to home country.

You can say that you are visiting family in all 3 trips as reason.
