I am in a big confusion here..I want to move to canada permanently..I have applied in a lot of universities and colleges and now i have to make a decision between these 2:-
1)should i go for a one year certificate whick is PG certificate
2)Should i go for 2 yrs diploma but it is an undergraduate diploma

Now the problem is that i have already done my graduation so i must go for PG certificate but people say that the chances of getting PR is more in case of 2 yrs of studies coz it gives u 3 years work permit(as per what i have heard)

So please tell me what option should i choose if i am looking for a PR..
UG diploma of 2 yrs OR PG certificate for 1 year..plzz help
i have to make a decision fast..

2. Regrding ur PR cnfusn, evry prvnce hs its own PNP (provincial nominee programme) option nd scndly thr s also anthr option aftr fnsh stdy evry int gardute studnt can apply for canadian experience class of atlst 1 yr full tim job offer(for tht case thr s crtain rules nd regu..) tht wil led u to apply for PR go to cic website for more info.

I have had the same confusion.. but you can always get PR after 1 year certification too (if you want to go through PNP program). You can also enroll yourself to another Post Graduation Certificate after completing your first WITHOUT involving yourself in any work permit thing so it sums up to 2 academic (16months) years education. Than you are eligible to apply for 3 years work permit.

i appreciate your reply but sir i have to make a decision between the above 2..cant i go for an undergraduate diploma because it is from a community college..and its length is for 2 years too so i will be eligible for a 3 year work permit and this will make it easy for me to get the PR too..the only thing that is stopping me is whether i will get my visa or not as i have already done my graduation..

I told you the same thing.. it's stupidity to apply for undergraduate diploma again. It will reduce your chances of getting visa. See, on CIC website, it is mentioned that you have at least 2 years of Post Secondary education in Canada to be eligible to get 3 years work permit. You can complete to Post Graduate Certificates of each 1 year and get 3 years work permit. Don't worry, I am doing the same thing :-)

dont they ask for masters for PNP?????

I had also been facing the same problem but after a searching on the net I decided to go for PG Certificate at George Brown College. I have applied for Wireless Networking at GBC but no response from them yet. Does anybody have any idea that how much time they take for application processing.

@ jigzyy

Which course are are you going for and Have u got ur VISA?

@sadiqmaknojia
No they not ask for masters. You can view individual PNP requirements on their provinces site.

Guys hang on a second, do not try to be faster/rush because this is all about ones future. why one would pay more and more for getting certificate/diploma again just for the sake of work permit?

Kindly search videos on youtube about W/p and RP, if u have any friend or relative in canada ask them about international graduate scheme jobs perspective and permanent stay there

@ Jabir S M

What if a person's GPA is below 3 and does not fulfill the requirement of the University should he apply for masters or rather go for a Diploma in a community College???

I think colleges can take low GPA scores students too.. it varies from college to college too.. do check Humber for your desired course and their requirements!
