OK...here is the scenario. Girlfriend is Filipina and arrived in October this year. She wants to live with me till my divorce becomes final...3-4 months max. She has spent a lot of time and money to come to Canada and wants to know her options available. Here are the questions and thanks in advance for information:
1) does her work history with previous employer count towards her 24 months of full time employment to qualify for PR status. Not related to living together..she insists she needs to be with one employer for a year for that work to be acknowledged as work experience.
2) Worst case scenario (her words not mine) I kick her out of my house. Can she apply to work again to another position under the caregiver program? This is within 3-4 months time. This also ties into question #1 in regards to bringing her work time forward on application for 24 months. My understanding is that as long s her temp resident visa and her work permit are up to date she is full able to apply for new positions as a caregiver nanny without being illegal.
