What is the risk if i switch to 2173 from 2174

All,

I am working on preparing the roles and responsibilities that matches with NOC code 2173 and my company is willing to sign it on the letter head.I have 6 years of work experience in IT.

The reason i wanted to switch to 2173 is that there is chance that my application gets in before the CAP limit when i apply in Start of september 1st week.I am still waiting on the ECA letter.

Will there be any risk if i switch to NOC Code 2173 ?

What do you mean "switch?" Have you already applied under another NOC?

As long as your reference letters are HONEST and your duties match the NOC under which you are applying you can choose any NOC you fit into.

Switch i mean instead of using NOC 2174, use 2173. Since my responsibilities from my employer are super set of duties performed by NOC 2173 and NOC 2174. So i can use any of those NOC's.
