It means, for example, if you are a Computer and information systems manager, you does not belong to NOC 2011 and should belong to 0213 instead.

IMHO, this section is for avoiding confusions among positions with similar duties.

@doge Appreciate your response, Thanks. :)

I'm in PostITA phase and preparing for a letter to get it signed from ex-colleague since the company I worked in is not anymore in practice.

I applied for NOC 2173. While preparing the job duties I realized that most of my job duties fall under NOC 2173 but few of them fall under NOC 2174. The issue is, I see 2174 is mentioned in exclusion section of 2173's job duties. So, I'm confused if it could create any issues, please advise.

Then just mention the duties of NOC 2173.

@mr.preetsingh Thanks for the response.

I can do as you suggested.

However, my question was, would there be a problem if few of job duties are pointing to the other NOC code which is in Exclusion(s) of the main one.

I want to be as truthful and complete as much as possible since I will have to convince my supervisor to get the letter signed.

If you do that, then you might land into a problem

Could you post your true duties here for reference?
