what is required to hire a nanny from SRi lanka

HI,

I live in Ontario.
I am looking into hiring one of my relative as caregiver/nanny to my 2 children

What income do I need to show to qualify

what process do I follow

is allowed to use a relative as a nanny
how long does the process take

I am too scared to hire random people to live my kids alone with.

please advise.
