What is required for British Citizen to Visit US

Hello,

I've never really been clear what my British husband needs to travel to the US. We are waiting for his passport back, but from what I understand, even with a PR card, this does not change his requirements to travel to the US.

The two times we have travelled from Canada to the US by car we have had to pay a fee and that was it. But what I'm not clear is going forward, if we drive or fly, what sort of paperwork would be needed. I tried to look this up online, but couldn't seem to find anything.

Anyone know what is required or where I can find information on this?

British citizens are visa exempt to go to the US as tourists so he needs his passport and if coming in by flight, he should have a return ticket. He also might need to show that he has the funds to support himself while in the US. Having a Canadian PR card doesn't really mean anything in the US.

For UK citizen he needs to apply for ESTA:

This is only needed every two years.

Also:

He will still be issued with an I-94W. If you cross by land it will probably still cost six bucks. By plane it's free.
