My story is different, I got PR in 2014 and became landed PR in the same month and came back to USA after 4 days, after that never been to Canada, due to some problems again I can back to Canada on Feb9th 2017 as I have 762 days by 9th feb 2017, Border officer said you hardly have 32 days extra and please keep that always in mind to retain your PR later, so applied for PR card on Feb 10th 2017 and the application was received by CIC on Feb 14th 2017, so tensed what are they going to do? any idea ? please guide me seniors what should I expect ?

You won't get your PR renewal anyway. You should stay inside Canada until you have enough days and apply again. You should withdraw your current application if you can.

Dear karenv, if you dont know anything donnt comment here, but dont misguide the people here, he is correct if he is traveling everyday to US and Canada one or other day Immigration officer must have stopped him and send him back ,but I did not happen, so he has complete eligibility to retain his PR card renewal

Normally PR Card was sent to PR Holder 1 to 6 months after landing, unless the poster lost his card. The application is normally for PR Renewal.

Someone is telling lies here ... In the very first post saying 'never came to Canada until Feb 9, 2017'. The second post says travelling back and forth everyday ... What a funny story! :p :p

See this post this clearly, he mentioned he became landed PR in the same month in 2014 so he is eligible as long as he meet 730 days requirement

Did he meet 730 days if he landed in 2014, stayed in Canada for 4 days and never return until Feb 9, 2017, and submit the application on Feb 10, 2017? You can answer by yourselves. Simple calculation. I stop here. I don't entertain lies by all means. Waste of time!

Cut the unnecessary language and attitude.

I'm assuming you never actually received a PR card and so you have applied for an initial card, not a renewal. Because you are so close to the cut-off, they may investigate further to ensure you are still in compliance with the RO. Provided you are correct about your 762 days, the card will be issued.

Your simple calculation fails to take into account that upon entry, OP still had 762 days left in the initial 5 years to be able to meet the 730 day RO, meaning they are still in compliance.

From your previous posts, you became a PR on March 9th 2014. So therefore it's physically impossible for you to be in violation of your residency obligation, until at least March 10, 2017.

Seeing as you mailed the app on Feb 14 and less than 3 years of becoming a PR, it's guaranteed you meet the RO so you should get the PR card easily.

Since this is your first PR card, it will most likely have the original expiry date based on your PR landing. So probably sometime in 2019 or 2020. You will need to apply to renew the PR card in just a few years time.

Out of my curiosity, I just wonder why Canada PR seeker and DR kbknaidu seems to knew each other's situation. Just go through Dr kbknaidu post and discover that CA PR Seeker and Dr kbknaidu was related or maybe in the same family/person. Dr kbanaidu was having exactly same landing date and situation as Canada PR Seeker. That's why you are supporting each other. I am sorry for calling you are a lier. I also am also sorry for giving wrong information. As I explained in the below post, my assumption was for PR renewal, not PR Card.
