What is it like to live in Saskatchewan as an International Student ?

Hello Guys,

I am an Indian student plan to move to Saskatchewan, and to full-fill my career dreams. I was planning to choose a two-year Computer Systems Technology PG diploma from Saskatchewan Polytechnic ( Saskatoon ).

Apart from ON , BC and Manitoba, in reality i learned that PR processing options after studies in Sask. is still much easier than any other provinces in Canada. I already got friends and colleages studiying / settled in other provinces as well and i heard a lot of truth and myths about this. Clearly i didn't like the Ontarian wave or stressful / busy urban life.

I didn't have any piece of information about how is it like to live in Saskatchewan as a self-supporting international student. So let me clear my concerns regarding this.

(very important)

1) Is it easy to get a Part-time job in Saskatchewan ( Saskatoon ), to support financially during my studies ?

2) Is it affordable to live in Sask comparing with other cities like Toronto, Vancouver , Winnipeg ?

3 ) Is it very difficult to find a permanent job under my profession ( IT operations ) then follow up with SINP and PR options.


I'm just wondering through every piece of information. becoz this time my situation is not to take too much risks in this game and at the end of the day rush out into the black-void with nothing.
