What is impled status

Hello Guys

I am waiting for PPR as my ecas is in process from 29th may and my spouse study permit is getting expired on 30th July. Can I apply for permit renewal on 25th july so she is in implied status there may be chance that I get PPR before that,...Just dont want to waste 150$..any comments on it ?

As long as your application is received at CIC before expiration date, you will be on implied status. 25th is pushing too far. A week earlier would be better.

There's no guarantee that your application will be finalized by then, so she should be prepared to apply.

She can apply up to and including on 30 July, and can apply online, and would have implied status. Wouldn't recommend waiting until the very last minute, tho.

Also you should take a look at the new requirements for study permits, it's a little more strict than before...
