What is Fee payment (Line # 13 Buffalo requirement)

Hello everyone,

my FSW application was recommended for further assessment. Line #13 of the Buffalo Visa office requirement is the Fee payment. Is this the 490 CAD and NOT the 550 CAD?

I do not know whether you applied under the new or old rule. If you applied under the new rule in which you had to send ur application to Sydney, NS, you should have sent the 550 CA. Then, if you were recommended for further assessment, you send a full updated application to Buffalo along wit supported documents with NO fee. Then, if they approve it and request medicals, they will probable request the 490 CA along with medical.

I sent my FSW application March 20 and got recommendation letter for further assessment on APril 8. When i sent my FSW application to NS Canada, i sent bank draft for 550 CAD.

Now, I am confused because the BUffalo guidelines state Fee payment. So i do not know if this is the 490 or should i send another 550.

The $490 is the Right of Permanent Resident Fee, which you have to pay before the processing office will issue the visa.

sorry i did not get that. so you mean I have to send the 490 CAD along with my supporting documents to Buffalo? or are you saying that I do not need to send any bank draft yet until advised by Buffalo?

Your choice, you send the $490 with the package after receiving the 120 day letter or you wait till Buffalo asks for it, adding another month or two to the processing. (that is if you are approved) If you are refused the RPRF is refunded.
