I don't have any ties in Ontario. Should I still document anything and tick the box "Ties to Ontario" in the form?

Thanks

If there are truly no ties, I imagine you will have to leave the box unchecked. Because even if you tick the box, you'll report that you have no ties to Ontario. Seems wasteful to do that.

Others can weigh in with their suggestions.

what do you mean by ties to ontario? i have a blood relative in ontario, should i tick yes?

Asivad,

I know payslips are optional. In your view including extra information such as payslips is possibly a good thing or it is risky to provide more information then requested in terms of risk of causing confusion.

I think something similar applies to other items also such as including transcripts with academic documents. I wonder though if providing what is asked is always a better option without including additional items or we should always be striving to strengthen our application with additional documents.

That was wrt a section in the OOPNP Application form. For EE, it doesn't matter.

I'm of the opinion that one should strive to submit documentation that covers everything that CIC requires. And not a single document over and above what is asked for by CIC is required to be uploaded provided the main document sufficiently covers every requirement of CIC.

Additional or supporting documentation should be uploaded only when the main document doesn't completely address CIC requirements. In such cases, one should also submit a detailed LOE wherein you state your case as earnestly as possible.

@ Asivad and other seniors. Need your views on below.

As pointed by Amsterdam he got a call and even OOPNP called his employer as well. So do we all need to expect a call or it will be on case to case basis. Why I am asking is my employer dont even know I am applying for Canada immigration. I have sent referral letter on company letter head as my immediate manager helped me in getting one. So will call goes to my immediate manager or my company. My immediate manager has signed that reference letter and his mobile number is also mentioned in that along with company details.

Regards

First thing, it's not 100% guaranteed that your employer will receive a call. And even if they do receive a call from CIC/OO, it will be your manager (or the person who signs the letter) will receive the call.

Hello asivad.

I have a question. need your help. I have asked my CEO to prepare a reference letter for me. Is it important that i need to have official company seal embossed on it along with my company stamp and CEO's signature + business card?

or

Just the company stamp + signature + business card is more than enough? please advice...

Also regarding paystubs, should i attach past 6 months salary slips that i received from my employer or just the current month slip?
waiting for your valuable guidance.

Thanks and regards. 8)

Get it on the letterhead. Company stamp/seal optional. Signature of supervisor/personnel manager mandatory. Business card good-to-have.

Pay stubs are optional - if you feel like uploading, attach the most recent slip.
